You will work closely with our independent living clients providing personal care and support with everyday living including meal preparation. You will participate in ensuring our clients meet their full potential within their home and out in the community helping them to maintain their family and social network. You will also support the aims and objectives of the Foundation and play a full and active part in the community so that at all times this post, either directly or indirectly, is providing the highest standard of care to people who use our services.

Who we are looking for

You will need the following skills and qualities:

  • Have a strong interest in working in Community care services and a desire to make a difference.
  • Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Must be able to meet the working pattern demanded by the post.
  • Able to clearly communicate with the service users.
  • Be enthusiastic, caring, friendly and compassionate.
  • A clean driving licence and access to own vehicle in order to assist service users in the community by taking them shopping, day outings and to GP/Dentist appointments.

This job is based out in the community within Herne Bay, Whitstable, Canterbury and surrounding villages. The main office for Homecare is based Strode Park House in Herne. Our home care and support service promotes individuals independence, well-being and choice through quality care.
