We are looking to hire a Clinical Psychologist to work at our Glenhurst Lodge Mental Health Hospital. (CQC Rating: Good).

The position is based in Maidstone, and will be part time, 3 days per week.

About the Clinical Psychologist Role

Glenhurst Lodge is an inpatient High Dependency Rehabilitation and Recovery service for males and females. Our service specialises in treatment resistant complex cases. Services are delivered in partnership with commissioners, families and individuals. So we can effectively care for men and women suffering from long-term complex Mental Health needs.

You will work as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) within our locked intensive rehabilitation unit. Working with service users who have a severe and enduring mental health problems. Who may also have challenging behaviour or a forensic history.

The role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team and will be responsible for:

• Providing psychological assessment and rehabilitation for patients with mental health disorders as well as providing support for their families and carers.
• This includes cognitive rehabilitation, psychological therapy to help with emotional adjustment and engagement in rehabilitation, behavioral interventions, teaching and consultation.
• The post holder will be responsible for the clinical and professional supervision of the full time assistant psychologist.

About you, the successful Clinical Psychologist

• The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in promoting and developing psychological services.
• The individual will be a positive culture carrier, working effectively and supportively within teams, inspiring and promoting effective change.
• Experience of working with Adolescents is desirable.
• The candidate shall have be eligible or hold Chartered Status with the BPS and Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC.
