Talent and Leadership Partner Job

Oakleaf are working with a prestigious bank who are looking to bring in a an Talent and Leadership Partner to their team.

This position will focus on strategic talent management within T&D which focuses on provision of scale and individual support aligned to key talent segments and Bank-wide and divisional strategic initiatives. Practitioners can expect to work in an agile and flexible team model which will require contribution across topics and divisions.

The job is for an initial 6 months, the company offer remote/flexible working, they do have offices based in Birmingham or London. The role is paying between £400-550 on a PAYE basis.

Talent and Leadership Partner Job - Responsibilities

  • Ensure strong understanding of client requirements and facilitate planning and prioritization process for T&D initiatives to enable efficient delivery and draw on resources.
  • Support design and facilitation of interventions to support key talent segments. This will entail conducting needs analysis with the business, developing proposal and executing and following up on agreed interventions.
  • Contribute to and advise the business on team effectiveness interventions using house team effectiveness framework, assessments, supporting processes and enablement in collaboration with HR.
  • Support the development of leaders through application of leadership diagnostic tools and providing individual development support as contracted with the client.
  • Provide coaching, career support for select talent segments using the Bank's coaching framework and observing ethics protocols.
  • Coordinate development solutions with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to ensure ongoing leadership and functional suitability for leaders in critical positions (i.e. SMRT, GKFH and other business critical or regulatory positions).
  • Cultivate partnerships with key external suppliers to deliver against T&D mandate ensuring quality standards and inflow of innovative/cutting edge practices in leadership development are maintained.
  • Work closely with colleagues across HR and with the business to maximize the use of resources, knowledge and best practices as well as to operationalize leadership development approach.
  • Introduce, analyze and report relevant leadership data to ensure transparency on divisional and Bank-wide themes which should inform team priorities.
  • Ensure financial and operational efficiency of initiatives maintaining a strong business case for internal practitioners.
  • Support planning, design and delivery of other T&L and HR initiatives, as needed, such as succession management.
