A vacancy for a full time Business Development Manager has arisen due to business expansion. This is a hybrid role with an office location dependent on the successful candidate’s home location, but you should be based in either the Midlands or North of England.
Role & Responsibilities
Identifying, Developing, and managing strategic business opportunities to drive company growth.
Promoting of company solutions and services
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Creative and innovative approach to business opportunities Building and maintaining client relationships
Day-to-day duties
Researching organisations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of potential clients and developing relationships with key
stakeholders/decision makers
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and develop further meetings.
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Prepare and deliver presentations/ proposals to prospective clients.
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the Company’s products & services.
Assisting Bid & Commercial team in developing quotes and proposals
Work closely with cross functional teams (marketing, commercial and operations) to ensure alignment and successful implementation of strategies.
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
To keep healthy relationships with clients this mostly requires socialisation.
Track, analyse and report on sales metrics and business development activities.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on business performance ad growth opportunities.
Keep all electronic database up to date (CRM) with all customer communication.

Organisation & Time Management: The ability to balance a varied workload whilst ensuring that tasks are prioritised accordingly to ensure that deadlines are met.
Presentation: Very well presented at all times.
Administration: Strong administrative skills.
Delegation: The ability to delegate workload both up and down.
Proactive: Continuous improvement approach, identifying, highlighting and articulating areas for improvement to management.

Experience
Minium of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or related role.
Experience within the construction sector with particular emphasis on compliance, refurbishment, and maintenance market.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
