Now Education are working on behalf of a secondary school in Lewisham who are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics to join them from October 2023. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students at the school, within a supportive Maths team that sits in a well-established Mathematics department. As a Teacher of Maths, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the school’s students. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 Mathematics Curriculum

  • Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Humanities department to develop and enhance the Maths curriculum and resources.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers, whilst maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this Mathematics Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
