EU/UK ADR Class 1 Tanker Driver

Pin Point Recruitment is looking for a EU/UK ADR Tanker Class 1 Driver for a manufacturing company based in Corringham, Essex.

Job Role:

•            Responsible to the Logistics Manager and also the Transport Supervisor for the efficient operation of any of the heavy good’s vehicles.

•            Maintain the cleanliness of any vehicles driven.

•            Report any defects on the vehicles driven to the Transport Supervisor.

•            Operate the vehicle in the most fuel-efficient manner.

•            Ensure the vehicle driven is fuelled up to its capacity at the end of each shift.

•            Correctly hand over to the oncoming driver, highlighting any problems encountered with the vehicle.

•            To work in the best interest of the company in dealings with customers, suppliers, outside agencies and the general public.

•            Show due consideration to other road users.

•            Comply with driver’s hours regulations.

•            Accurately complete and submit Daily Vehicle Defect sheet and submit to the Transport Supervisor.

•            Correctly complete the daily management and weekly timesheet.

•            Carry out any other relevant duties assigned by the Transport Supervisor

Hours:

•            45 hour week - need to be super flexible as there are no set shift patterns, it all depends on the job and distances required

Skills Required:

•            Competency in English and Maths.

•            Driver CPC

•            EU driving experience required

•            Qualified to drive heavy goods vehicles (Class 1 HGV).

•            ADR trained, carriage of dangerous goods.

•            Hold a good clean driver’s licence.

•            Experience in the operation of a Vacuum Tanker

•            Have good eyesight and colour vision and reasonable level of fitness to work with loads.

•            The ability to work alone and concentrate for long periods.

•            A Good understanding of health and safety, when loading and unloading vehicles
