Salary: Up to £95,000 (gross, per annum), depending on experience

Commercial Manager Duties:

• Protecting the interests of the company in respect of the contractual arrangements with its customers.
• Being responsible with the contracts managers for maximising the profitability of contracts.
• Monitoring and report on the profitability of contracts as the works progress.
• Carrying out any other duties at the discretion of the company.
• Being responsible for the commercial aspects of projects carried out by the company, including monitoring profitability and highlighting areas of potential concern.
• Guiding the project team in dealing with commercial aspects to maximise financial performance on all projects.
• Completing and submit interim and final applications for payment on time and in an appropriate level of detail.
• Identifying items of additional works undertaken and pursue recovery of full monies.
• Identifying items of delay to the programme and if applicable pursue recovery of extension of time entitlement including issuing formal notifications required under the contract using CEMAR.
• Reviewing financial performance of contracts upon completion and provide financial feedback to the estimating department.
• Maintaining accessible records of completed work.

Commercial Manager Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of contracting in the construction industry with a particular emphasis on specialist subcontracting in the telecom sector.
• Strong understanding of the technical elements of the fibre delivery and installations industry.
• Competent ability to read and understand industry technical specifications and drawings.
• Excellent numeracy and written skills, including the ability to undertake a good level of technical and financial calculations.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong presentation/communication skills.
