The role is a full-time position with the company, working 39 hours a week over 4.5 days.

Duties & responsibilities:

Working alongside the senior storeman and storeman in the goods inwards/despatch and stores areas,

the successful candidate will be responsible for receiving deliveries,

packing and despatching orders,

using MRP software and bespoke internal software,

offloading and loading of deliveries using counterbalance forklift trucks with 1.5-tonne, 2-tonne and 8-tonne lift capacity, as well as other general duties within these departments.

Goods receiving deliveries and issuing them to projects and/or stores.

Packing and despatching of goods to customers, including preparing paperwork via couriers’ software.

Maintaining accurate stock records via MRP software and in-house bespoke software.

Sorting and returning to stock, items returned from projects.

Unloading and loading of goods, including the use of forklift truck.

Delivery and collection of goods to and from local suppliers.

To upkeep the cleanliness and organisation of the stores department.

Requirements for the role

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

• Counterbalance forklift truck certification.

• Computer literate.

• Conscientious, meticulous, numerate, and attentive to detail.

• Previous experience in a stores environment will be beneficial

. • For fleet insurance reasons, the successful candidate must be 21 years or older to drive commercial vehicles
