Client, Job Role, and expectations

With 25+ years’ experience within the industry, our client has developed an enviable reputation as a leading manufacturer and installer of air filtration products and pressurised filter systems, providing continuous solutions and ongoing support to their client base as a one-stop shop. These systems are sold into special purpose and plant machinery across Europe.

The business has achieved strong YOY growth especially across the Benelux and France. There is already established business in the UK and the company is being supported by 2 key distribution (and installation) partners. However, they are looking to significantly increase the UK operation, starting with the appointment of a seasoned sales professional. It is anticipated that this will be the first step in developing a wholly owned subsidiary in the UK, include a full team of professionals and customer support.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Growing the existing customer base in current and new markets to achieve a sustainable and profitable ongoing business
  • Driving new business sales, especially with key end users who procure mobile plant equipment such as construction, utilities, and waste management companies
  • Becoming the go-to person in the UK for product knowledge and support
  • Promoting and increasing the sales of products both with dealers and key end users
  • Raising the company profile by attending exhibitions and tradeshows
  • Creating and implementing strategy for growth
  • Working closely with the current distributors to maximise and increase sales opportunities

To be successful in this role, you will need to be self-motivated, creative, a team player, good communicator and able to clearly articulate bespoke solutions to key stakeholders both internally and externally.  Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the commercial acumen to understand the needs of customers and the needs of our client are also essential, as is the ability and desire to absorb new product information.

The qualities of the successful candidate will include an enthusiastic approach to account management and new business sales with a hunter mentality. Ideally you will have a proven track record of technical knowledge of one of the following: air filters, air filtration & extraction systems, storage solutions, technical PPE, or high value construction / plant equipment.

Experience/Qualifications

  • A hunger for and motivated by new business and sales development
  • A verifiable successful background within sales
  • Honest, ethical with the desire to be part of a growing organisation
  • An excellent communicator and comfortable working independently
  • Experienced and skilled in the key areas of prospecting, presentation, negotiating, closing and client relationship management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy as well as fully IT literate (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Package / Remuneration:

The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:

Basic Salary:                                       Between £55,000 - £70,000
