Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority seeking a new Housing Officer to take charge of sign-ups and full tenancy sustainment.
Please note significant travel will be required for this post as you'll need to be out on site 2-3 days a week and spend one day a week in London.
Starting asap, working a flexible 37 hours per week, they do require candidates with experience of being a Housing Officer due to the nature of the patches being supported.
The role is based in across Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South and will cover generic tenancy management, income and ASB.
The Housing Officer will be expected to:
- Be a visible presence on schemes, maximising communication to achieve tenancy sustainability and positive tenancy management.
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with agreements, policies and standards, with an early intervention and prevention ethos.
- Managing low levels of ASB
- Providing advice and guidance around rent arrears
- Taking responsibility for neighbourhood issues, queries and complaints
The below is essential to succeed in the Housing Officer position:
- Prior experience as a Housing Officer
- A full driving license with access to your own vehicle
- A tenant-first approach to services
