Contek are working with a company in Leeds, specialising in Wire Erosion and Spark Erosion (AKA Electrical Discharge Machining or EDM). They have an exciting opportunity for a senior level programmer, setter, operator to join their award-winning and enthusiastic team.
We are looking for an experienced Spark Erosion EDM programmer, setter, operator to join the team due to the exceptional long-term growth in our order book. This role could be a management role depending on skill and experience.
Self motivation, experienced in dealing with customers directly, estimating and planning/scheduling skills would be very useful attributes.
Our main sector is within the Oil and Gas Industry and general engineering.
Role
- Spark erosion programmer, setter, operator using Agie and Charmilles spark erosion machines – Potential to be Spark Erosion EDM Manager
Skills and Experience
- Programming, setting and operating spark erosion machines – Agie and Charmilles machines
- Potential management role dependent on skill/experience
- Estimating and planning experience would be advantageous
- Potential customer facing role
Rate of pay between £15 and £18 per hour dependant on experience, bonus 10% target related paid quarterly and company pension.
Working hours are 7.30 to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday. Friday 7-2pm Overtime may be available as and when required.
Excellent working environment and bonus scheme
Holiday entitlement of 200 hours (Five Weeks) per annum plus statutory holidays.
£250 bonus yearly for 100% attendance.
