Job Title: Assembly Operative
Location: Gillingham
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour
Duration: Ongoing
We are actively seeking an Assembly Operative to join our team in Gillingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper working order
- Operating machines and monitoring them for abnormalities
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently
- Troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical or technical issues
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain the high standards of our products
- Assembling steel clips, worm drive clips, hose clips, and clamp clips using machines
- Following health and safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness in the work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience in machine operation or a similar role in an industrial environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Previous experience as an assembly operator is preferred
