We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our secondary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position to commence immediately and continue until the Summer.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history

• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving results

• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging history lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students

• Create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore historical concepts and develop critical thinking skills

• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and academic achievement

• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns

• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
