Grinding Operative

Our client design and manufacture precision forged and machined components and are currently recruiting for a Grinder to join their team. As a Grinder you would be responsible for grinding and scurfing precision forgings to customer requirements.
Hours of work will be Rotating earlies and afternoons, rotating weekly (6am to 2pm Monday to Friday) and then 2pm to 12am (Monday to Thursday)
Salary £22,700 to £27,500 per annum plus competitive benefits package.
Reporting directly to the Department Leader , your key responsibilities will include:
- Remove defects on forgings
- Ensure a high standard finish on components and parts to customer agreed requirement
To be successful in the role of a Grinder you will hold the following skills and experience;
- Experience of using a grinder and able to use various air tools
- Understanding of visual inspection standards and specifications
- Good communicator and a "can do" attitude"
- An attention to detail and able to work meticulously
This position is based near Redditch and is easily commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, South Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.
