A global leader in industrial automation and instrumentation solutions, mainly to the Process, Oil & Gas, Chemical and Pharma industries, are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. Currently working closely with NGT in the refurbishment of Gas Compressor sites.

Info about what the role entails

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide daily assistance to Project Managers to align project outcomes with commercial and financial objectives.
  • Forecast potential issues and devise strategies to mitigate associated risks.
  • Foster robust, cooperative interactions with clients and suppliers.
  • Deliver consistent, precise reports to Operations and Project Managers concerning PPR/CVR/Cash Flow/Weekly Updates, etc.
  • Compile and submit valuations and finalize account agreements.
  • Oversee the commercial management of multiple sites, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Calculate and submit contract variations, finalizing accounts with the client's Quantity Surveyor.
  • Interpret and offer guidance on contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice and application deadlines.
  • Aid the proposal team in securing pricing and engineering estimates.
  • Engage with clients on commercial contract aspects, resolving pricing disputes.
  • Participate in site progress and contract review sessions.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews during project phase gates.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Possession of a minimum HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Proven experience in a comparable role within Construction, Design, and Management projects
  • Proficiency with NEC contract frameworks
  • Demonstrated capability in managing several minor projects or a single project up to £10 million in value
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and Health & Safety at Work regulations
  • Holder of a full UK driving license
