Commercial Gas Engineer

Join a leading M&E Maintenance and Facilities company, specialising in diverse sectors including commercial mental health units, food retail, and industrial projects. We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team and uphold our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Location: South West London, covering areas between High Wycombe and Croydon.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £58,000

  • Competitive, with overtime opportunities kicking in after 40 hours.
  • Door-to-door pay, and plenty of overtime available.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks across diverse settings, including commercial mental health units, food retail establishments, and industrial projects.
  • Undertaking limited installation work as required, focusing primarily on maintenance-related duties.
  • Applying your expertise in commercial gas systems to efficiently diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Covering a designated area in South West London, managing tasks between High Wycombe and Croydon.
  • Embracing overtime opportunities with door-to-door pay, offering plenty of additional hours.
  • Actively participating in career progression and training programs to support your ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Essential commercial gas qualifications.
  • Proven experience in commercial gas engineering, with a strong focus on maintenance and PPM tasks.
  • Familiarity with working in varied environments, including mental health units, food retail, and industrial settings.
  • Ability to efficiently handle reactive tasks, plan and execute PPM schedules, with limited involvement in installation work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
