- Job Title: Senior Professional Conduct Manager

- Location: Short walk from Barbarian Station

- Contract Type: Temporary + Hybrid working (2 days office)

- Start Date: ASAP

- Contract Length: 6 months

- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 p/a (£27.40 p/h - £30.25 p/h)

About Our Client:

Our client, a leading engineering organisation, is seeking a Senior Professional Conduct Manager to join their team. As the Senior Professional Conduct Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the organisation's Professional Conduct Committee and panels.

🔍 Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations on governance relating to charities/not-for-profit organisations.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of a professional institution, membership, or licensing/regulatory body environment, specifically committee, panel, and working group structures.
  • Managing the Professional Conduct Department and responding to complex enquiries regarding professional conduct.
  • Overseeing the management of the complaints process in accordance with disciplinary rules and regulations, ideally in an engineering profession.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other organisational compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present and explain detailed information clearly and succinctly.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Disseminating updates on Professional Conduct Committee decisions and best practise guidance to the membership.
  • A commitment to equality of opportunity and an understanding of the importance of respecting and valuing diversity.
  • Managing the Expert Witness register.

💼 General Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day line management for direct reports, including regular one-to-ones and appraisals.
  • Building positive working relationships and attending relevant conferences.
  • Making suggestions for improving processes and systems.
  • Complying with all Institution's policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable ad hoc duties as requested.

📝 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations on governance and disciplinary procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of a professional institution or regulatory body environment.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
