Recruitment Education are currently working with a lovely primary School located in Peterbough to help find a suitable Teaching Assistant to work on long-term with the option of progressing to a permanent contract. We are looking for a teaching assistant with previous experience of supporting pupils with a background in education or childcare. Working as a Teaching assistant supporting pupils in small groups and 1 to 1 as well as group classroom support. The teaching assistant would need experience of supporting pupils aged 4-11 years old.

The role is due to start immediately on a long-term contract with the option of progressing to a permanent placement if successful in the role, so we encourage suitable candidates to apply asap. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at good school with a friendly and supportive Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate should have the following

• Enhanced DBS Certificate with both Adult and Child Workforce
• Teaching Assistant Experience or similar, minimum of 12 months' relevant experience support children
• Not fased and would be confident supporting pupils with some of the following learning difficulties and disabilities including: SLD, Autism and complex needs
• Engaging with pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis
• Experience supporting secondary age pupils with learning difficulties
• Excellent rates of pay
