We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join a leading Design and Build commercial office fit-out contractor. The Preconstruction Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing projects from initial inception through the preconstruction phase, including creating tenders, pitching for work, and preparing projects for handover to the project management team post-contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial office fit-out projects and have a thorough understanding of the preconstruction process.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the preconstruction phase of commercial office fit-out projects, working closely with the design and estimating teams to develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage the preparation of tender packages, including bid documents, scopes of work, and project specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate collaboration and ensure project requirements are met.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Prepare and deliver compelling project presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the company's capabilities and value proposition.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify new project opportunities and participate in the prequalification and bidding processes.
- Oversee the transition of successful tenders to the project management team, providing comprehensive handover documentation and ensuring a smooth transfer of project knowledge and requirements.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a preconstruction management role within the commercial construction industry, with a focus on office fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulations related to commercial interiors.
- Proficiency in project management software, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
