Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits
A leading Asbestos Consultancy based in Essex are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their friendly team. This role would suit someone who has experience working as a lab analyst, within a UKAS accredited asbestos laboratory and will be comfortable using PLM and stereo microscopy to conduct sample analysis. This would be an ideal opportunity for a candidate who wants to join a company with a family feel, who prides itself on providing excellent training to employees and high-quality asbestos management services to their longstanding Commercial, Industrial and Domestic clients.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Rayleigh, Rochford, Basildon, Hockley, South Benfleet, Wickford, Stanford-le-Hope, Tilbury, Grays, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Romford, Rainham.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401.
" Will come from an asbestos background, working within a UKAS accredited laboratory.
" Able to communicate with colleagues and clients efficiently.
" Prioritising workload in line with client needs, ensuring samples and reports are completed in line with agreed time frames,
" Impressive knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
" Keen eye for details.
The Role:
" Upon arrival to the laboratory, ensuring to log and store all samples safely.
" Preparing samples for analysis.
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to conduct sample analysis.
" Ensuring to complete job sheets in a timely manner upon completion of analysis.
" Ensuring to calibrate equipment when required.
" Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy laboratory.
" Conducting samples in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Liasing with clients, providing support and advice where required,
" Overseeing and providing training to new starters.
" Ensuring that any reports are returned to clients in a timely manner.
