Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are working with an established Plastics company based in Preston.  They are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Perm Nights.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Fault finding / diagnosis on a range of PLC controlled systems including Omrom /Mitsubishi and Direct Logic
• Fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a range of old and new electrical and mechanical plant and equipment including electrical panels, motors and pneumatics
• Ensuring all downtime is kept to a minimum by carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance activities
• Installation of new machinery
• Keeping records of all maintenance activities
• Occasional tooling changes
• Testing of fire pumps and other safety equipment
• Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner and that HS&E standards are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Time served electrical & mechanical engineer (HNC / NQV level 3)
• Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Experience working in plastics moulding industry
• Competent experience of automated systems (PLC)
• Experience of working with pneumatic systems
• Electrical fault finding (control panels, motors, sensors etc
• 17th / 18th Edition
