Due to continued business growth our marine client in Aberdeen is looking to add a permanent Party Chief to their team of staff.   As a Party Chief you will work with structured rotations and will hold the ability to make objective decision timely and effectively, whilst under pressure, recognising where decisions should be escalated to a more senior authority.  

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• Electronics, electrical, Survey or Computer based science degree or equivalent relevant offshore experience.
• Offshore Survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and / or Party Chief.
• Offshore Marine Construction experience.
• Familiar with GNSS systems (Veripos), survey software (Eiva).
• Knowledge and implications of environmental conditions and effects on survey systems and data.
• Knowledge of installation and configuration of technical software.
• Full understanding of calibration requirements and procedures of the survey systems and sensors.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• BOSIET, MIST GWO Certification, ENG1 / OGUK Medical(s).
• Working knowledge of Oil & Gas and Renewable industries technical specifications and standards.
• Full UK Driving License.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for planning and evaluating field Survey projects in accordance with client requirements and company procedures, whilst leading the field survey teams.
• Preparing, processing, and coordinating the required field survey work, whist supporting the Survey & Positioning Manager as necessary.
• Establish and maintain project priorities and adapt to changing priorities and working environments whilst having an interest in developing new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies. 
• Plan, organise and direct the work of others.
• Develop new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.
• Promote and be accountable for quality customer service.
