Job Title: Service Manager (Car Dealership)

Location: Scarborough YO12 4HE

Salary: Basic Salary £38,000 – OTE up to £53,00 0bonus

Full Time and Permanent

Our client has a turnover of approximately £250 million per annum and over 700 members of staff employed in 13 car dealerships and one dedicated service centre across the country, giving the business both a national presence and a local community spirit.

They offer a wide range of new cars and vans whilst providing a variety of used and manufacturer-approved vehicles to suit any need or price range.

They are now actively looking to recruit for a Service Manager for their Scarborough dealership.

Job Purpose:

 The Service Manager will be leading a team of Service staff. You will undoubtedly be an experienced people manager with a passion for building excellent customer satisfaction whilst driving forward profitable business expansion. As a customer-focused manager, you will inspire your team to provide the best possible services for the customer whilst ensuring the Company profit targets are achieved. You will be able to enhance the current team by providing support, coaching and motivation to them.

Job Duties:

• To ensure all the benefits provided by our client to their customers will be offered on all opportunities in an effective way. You are expected to monitor, coach and train Service Advisors to achieve business goals.

• You and your team should strive to achieve the accepted customer satisfaction standards and customer retention.

• Complaints should be managed and resolved effectively whilst adhering to policies and procedures.

• To take responsibility for the profit of the department and actively strive to achieve budgets set.

• Maintain and review reports regularly to look at staff efficiencies and productivity. Produce reports in a timely manner for board meetings.

• Ensure all Drive processes are fully adhered to.

• Take responsibility for any health and safety issues and ensure compliance with regulations.

About You:

• Proven experience in an Assistant Service Manager / Service Manager role.

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

• Strong organisational and scheduling abilities

• Ability to motivate and push team members to achieve exceptional results.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
