Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed Deputy Manager to join their Enfield learning disability service. This role involves managing a service for 14 residents in a supported living environment, catering to older people with additional health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated, caring, and supportive staff team. The aim is to enable residents to enjoy a good quality of life, maximizing independence and skills progression where possible.

The Role
The Deputy Manager will support the Manager in recruiting and managing the large staff team, creating a culture of positive behaviour support within a personalized environment, embedding quality standards, and achieving and progressing good outcomes for the residents. Additionally, you will manage the service safely within the regulations and standards required by CQC.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management.
- Promote and maintain person-centered approaches and inclusive community links.
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are current and effective.
- Coordinate staff rotas and ensure adequate cover is maintained.
- Arrange and facilitate staff training, meetings, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Advocate for residents and involve families in decision-making processes.
- Manage residents` healthcare needs and liaise with external professionals.
- Uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with CQC regulations.

Skills and Expertise
- Share values of enabling, empowering, and engaging with residents.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, or behaviors of concern.
- Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong IT skills and ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
- Creativity, motivation, and enthusiasm to bring and implement new ideas.
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent, or willingness to gain this qualification.
- Experience in staff management and the ability to lead and develop a large team.
- Experience in carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, personalized active support.
- Knowledge of budget management is desirable.
