Job Role:

A happy and vibrant day centre in Camden is looking for a confident, sociable, and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to add value to their supportive, caring, and fun team. You will be supporting children from the ages of 0-7 years old, whilst working closely with families and colleagues to deliver high-quality early years education.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children to play and learn. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of the children. 

Hours advertised below are fixed during school term-time:

Mon – Fri, 09:00 - 15:00 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist children with daily activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility, based on their individual needs and abilities.
  • Provide personalized care and support to the children always ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • To ensure all activities are set up with appropriate toys and equipment before each session begins, ensuring a risk assessment is completed and updated regularly.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children can build social skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Plan and facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities, educational games, and sensory experiences.

Requirements:

* MUST have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care OR Children & Young People

* MUST have at least 2 years of UK experience working within a children's nursery or in early childcare. 

* MUST hold a DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new one

* MUST have a good level of English (written & verbal) skills

* MUST be happy to provide personal care

* MUST be flexible to work throughout the week

Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of: Nursery Practitioner, Childrens Support Worker, Early Years Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, Nursery TA, Early Years Practitioner, SEN Assistant, SEND, Learning Support Assistant, and Special Needs Support and Play Worker will be considered for this role.
