Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor- Main Contractor
Location: Lincolnshire, UK
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and negotiations.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders.
- Resolve any contractual and commercial issues that may arise.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with tier 2 main contractors.
- Extensive experience in both new build and renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or similar is preferred.
