Adept Resourcing are working with a market leading Chesterfield based Engineering business as they look to recruit a Systems Engineer

The company provide cutting-edge test and measurement solutions to top high-tech manufacturers across the world.

As Systems Engineer, you'll report to the Engineering Leader and play a vital role in a dynamic Engineering Team.

Your Role

Take on the challenge of turning customer engineering requirements into bespoke software solutions, balancing time and cost constraints. Y

You'll work with both commercial off-the-shelf components and custom-designed interfaces, using LabVIEW and other software programs.

Your tasks will include creating system concepts, developing custom software, and fault finding. This role offers the chance to design and engineer a wide range of bespoke products, ensuring our clients benefit from high-quality, timely engineered solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years in software design and development with National Instruments LabVIEW (CLD+ preferred)
  • Experience in automated test, measurement, or control
  • Strong system design and specification skills
  • Ability to create top-level system drawings and diagrams
  • Proficiency in system testing and fault finding

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven systems engineering track record
  • Team player with aspirations for senior roles
  • Excellent knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW
  • Ability to create high-level system designs, specifying instrumentation and sensors
  • Sociable, dedicated, and driven personality and Strong communication skills
  • Independent worker and team collaborator
  • Motivated to contribute to a dynamic business
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver projects on time
  • Skill in interpreting customer requirements within budget and timescale constraints
  • Self-management and target achievement confidence
  • Experience working in a multi-skilled design team

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of GPIB, RS232, TCPIP, LXI
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Background in the aerospace and defence industry
  • Proven track record in designing bespoke test equipment
