Our client is now looking to secure an Embedded Software Engineer - C to play a crucial role in an established R&D team. The Embedded Software Engineer - C will work within the cross-functional team to integrate firmware with hardware, ensuring new products are released successfully.
  
The Embedded Software Engineer - C will be responsible for:
- Firmware Development: Design, implement, and test embedded firmware in C.
- Debugging: Resolve issues in existing firmware.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers to ensure firmware integrates with hardware.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive firmware documentation.
- Code Review: Conduct reviews and develop test plans.
- Code Unification: Standardise code across products.
  
Key skills required for the Embedded Software Engineer - C role:
- Education: Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Firmware development in embedded C.
- Testing: Experience with automated testing.
- Microcontrollers: Understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture.
- Debugging Tools: Proficiency with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Protocols: Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet protocols.
