HGV Class 1 Day & Night Drivers

Location – Chepstow NP16

• Days 05.00 - 08.00 start times
• Nights 17.00 - 20.00 start times 

Salary:

• Days £17.00 - £21.00 per hour
• Nights £18.00 - £22.00 per hour

Shift pattern: Thurs - Mon (inc. weekends)

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Thursday to Sunday/Monday basis, day & nights shifts.

The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.

Key tasks:

• Delivering items to customers
• Trunking

Duties:

- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment

- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)

- Clean driving record with no major violations

- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role

- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers

- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Strong communication and customer service skills
