Andersen James are currently partnering with a large social housing and care provider to assist them find a Compliance Commerical Manager on a 12 month fixed term basis. 

Reporting to the Director of Compliance and Building Safety, this role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of commercial and contract management arrangements across approximately £100 million worth of contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement audit programmes for commercial and contract management practices, collaborating with property delivery teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage financial performance, forecasting, cost-saving initiatives, and effective payment mechanisms in collaboration with contractors and finance colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure, risk registers, performance frameworks, and social value trackers for effective contract management and monitoring.

The Compliance Commercial Manager will work closely with the Property & Assets Senior Leadership Team, as well as colleagues across the organisation, to drive continuous improvement in contract management, commercial management, and financial planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum degree qualification in quantity surveying or equivalent (essential)
  • MRICS status 
  • 5-7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Recent experience in commercial and contract management of NEC and/or JCT contracts
  • Proven commercial experience working within the social housing maintenance and planned investment sector, preferably from both contractor and client sides.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of compliance contracts, cost-planned investment, and compliance services in the social housing sector. They will have excellent planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.
