Hours: 37.5 Flexible with core hours between 10am and 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Polytec are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer for our client based just north of Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
* Feasibility studies for new products
* Circuit design
* PCB layout
* System integration type projects
* Maintenance of existing product designs
* EMC and Low Voltage product approvals
* Production support
Requirements:
* At least 8 years' design experience
* A good academic background
* Degree in Electronics or Physics (or equivalent).
* A sound understanding of the technologies involved in their current experience
* Ability and enthusiasm to find out about, and work in, new areas
* A demonstrable commitment to producing 'right first time' quality work is essential.
* Experience with general radiometric (infrared) system design
* Familiarity with digital design including FPGA's/CPLD's (language VHDL or Verilog)
* DSP and microprocessors
* Precision and video rate analogue design, optoelectronics, small motor control, and power supply design
