Mechanical Fitter
Bradford, £12.84ph, training and progression and additional qualifications available
Entry-level role suitable for NVQ Level 2 qualified Mechanical Engineer looking for their first role.
You will work alongside the stores and engineering departments undertaking a range of duties whilst developing your skills and knowledge further.
As the Mechanical Fitter you will:
- Pick and prepare parts in engineering stores for the engineers
- Operate chop saws to cut metal and plastic parts
- Undertake labouring duties
- Build pipework assemblies
- Mechanical build of products
- Undertake, repair, maintenance, manufacturing as requested.
- Learning from fully skills engineers and developing your skills
- Assisting the stores manager as required
- Operation of FLT
- Lifting, moving products, labouring and maintaining a clean working environment
As the Mechanical Fitter you will:
- Proven workshop experience
- Hold a counterbalance FLT licence.
- Ability to work flexible hours and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with tools and applications
- 5Good organisational skills & ability to work under own direction and monitor own

Benefits include:
Working hours are 7.30-4pm Monday to Thursday with 3pm finish on Fridays
Regular overtime available and paid at 1.5x's over 39 hours and on sat morning, 2x's paid Saturday afternoon and Sunday
28 days holiday (increasing with length of service) + day off for you birthday (given the Friday before if your birthday falls on a weekend) + Christmas shutdown
