Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 including GCSE.
  • Foster a love of music and creativity in students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular music activities, including choirs, bands, and school performances.
  • Support students in their personal and academic growth, contributing to a positive school culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and share best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a dedicated team.
  • Resilience and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
