Temporary Yard Operative

£11.70 per hour, plus £2.00 per hour night shift uplift

(Approx £29414 per annum)

Day (6 am to 6 pm) and night shifts (6 pm to 6 am)

4 days on days, 4 days off, 4 days on nights, 4 days off

My Client is looking to recruit two temporary Yard Operatives due to an increased volume in workload.

You will be working as part of the Operations team who deal with the provision of specialist waste management services. The successful candidates must be flexible team workers and physically fit and able to undertake manual handling of heavy items.  You will be working outdoors.

The team are a good bunch of people, all working together for a good end result.  This is a friendly working environment.

You will be responsible for helping the team with the following duties:

• To assist in the loading / unloading of vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the yard at all times
• To ensure all Company documentation and records are completed accurately and according to Company procedures

This is a shift work working 4 on/4 off on a mixture of day and night shifts – either 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am

To become part of our small and friendly team you will have:

• The ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Physically fit as there is some lifting and shifting
• A forklift licence would be advantageous
• The ability to carry out instruction and meet deadlines
• Be hard working and enthusiastic
• Verbal and written communication skills required to be able to complete Company documentation
• Have own transport as yard is not accessible for public transport
