About the role

The Finance Business Partner will support a portfolio of services in providing high quality strategic and operational advice to managers, the senior leadership team in those services and to the lead cabinet member. In this key role you will be able to pre-empt financial risks and issues, devising mitigation's and solutions. The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in support of the Directorate and the Head of Finance in the development of Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy.
There are five permanent roles available, covering the following service areas Adults, Health & Communities, Children's & Young People Services, Capital, Economy & Regeneration, and Environment & Resident Experience.

About you

You will have an extensive working knowledge and understanding of one of the five areas or can demonstrate transferable skills that would enable you operate in a business partnering model to deliver high quality support. You will have a relevant professional accountancy qualification and through post qualification experience will be able to demonstrate from that you have the necessary skills to undertake the opportunity that is available as Finance Business Partner.
