ATA Recruitment are closely working with a Global Engineering Consultancy providing state of the art engineering solutions for customers over the World, whether the customers are looking for basic advice, complex assessments, or the total solution our award-winning client are on hand to exceed customer expectations.

Based in Poole their modern offices boast a wealth of knowledge and expertise, with a dynamic and can-do culture. Currently they are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on varied and interesting projects, providing advice and solutions for your customers. You will have expert engineers in their field for support and collaboration from basic designs to complex solutions.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a vibrant team providing the best engineering solutions for your customers using Autodesk Inventor CAD software.

Some of the duties that the Mechanical Design Engineer will have to carry out are to:

  • Produce 3D models based on client specifications.
  • Produce 2D general arrangements & manufacturing drawings.
  • Produce 3D concept models.
  • Document change control.
  • Create BOM’s & parts lists.
  • Carry out FEA calculations.

The Candidate:

To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:

  • An Engineering qualification
  • Proficient CAD software experience in both 2D & 3D
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude to be able to work on varied projects.
