Field Service Engineer

  • South East England (ideal base would be between Cambridge and Dartford)
  • Permanent staff position
  • £36,000 - £40,000 basic salary; typical earnings of £60K+ with callout and overtime
  • Company vehicle, additional payments for callout/standby

A market leading engineering service company is looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Covering the South East of England, you will primarily be responsible for the installation, repair and servicing of variable drives and/or control panels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Service existing clients
  • Installation of new systems
  • Attend breakdowns for reactive maintenance
  • Promote new company products using your technical expertise
  • Maintain customer relationships

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar field service role is essential
  • Ideally you will have a background with variable rives or control panels, but full product training will be given
  • A strong engineering background with ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required 
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, along with 17th Ed Regs
  • Other requirements: JIB Skills Card/CCSC, Safety Passport
  • Knowledge of 24-110 SELV, 240 - 690 LV, single and 3 phase systems
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Commercially aware, with excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ideally based in Essex, Middlesex or Kent to best service the current client base.
