Due to company growth, expansion and a long sustainable order book we are now seeking a number of Production Engineer to join a market leading Engineering and Manufacturing business close the Wakefield area.
The business has a long standing history of designing and manufacturing innovative solutions, supported with a protected global order book and significant investment across their manufacturing operations in West Yorkshire.

What do you need to apply to the Production Engineer Vacancy:
- HNC or HND or Degree in mechanical engineering or similar with experience in a bespoke fabrication & assembly environment
- The ability to generate clear production assembly work instructions.
- Experience of developing production flow lines
- Experience and knowledge of industrial engineering or project engineering.
- General knowledge in areas of root cause corrective action, lean and project planning.
- Experience in Mechanical CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo or similar packages.
Key Duties of Production Engineer:
- Developing and maintaining production processes and procedures across Fabrication and/or assembly operations
- Lead and implement process improvement activities (designing, improving, organising) to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Support new product introduction, ensuring effective collaboration between Engineering & Production.
- Gather relevant production data throughout the New Product Development process.
- Support introduction of product at concept phase and through production ramp up.
- Maintain production process documentation.
- Design and/or implement tools and Equipment to improve the production process.
- Design and implement production flow lines, factory floorplans and modular workstations.
- Contribute to the Design for Manufacture process.
- Identify areas for producibility and quality improvements in assembly, test and product design.
