Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting an innovative subsea engineering company based in Blyth in the appointment of a Mechanical Engineer due to growth. The ideal candidate will ensure completion of all technical engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis, structural calculations and design of subsea asset modifications/repairs
• Implement design improvement and eradicate reliability issues with subsea assets.
• Provide operational and technical support to other departments when required.
• Carry out structural verification and design optimisation to contribute towards continuous improvement of company assets.
• Review and approve the work of other engineers and contractors.
• Work in accordance with relevant codes standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience working within an engineering related industry on mechanical systems (subsea industry preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work well within a team and independently.
• Ability to discuss and present detailed technical recommendations and solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor as well as FEA and MathCAD.
