The Company
A leading Renewable Battery energy storage system and Solar PV IPP/Developer in Europe with a 11.8GW Pipeline globally. As the portfolio expands so does their ambition to achieve significant year-on-year growth. As part of ongoing investment into focus markets and the need to drive Development & Construction of existing secured pipeline, whilst originating fresh multi-gigawatt opportunities, they are looking to secure a Planning Director - Battery/Solar to join their High Performing Management Team.
The Role:
As Planning Director of Business/project Development, you will be responsible for support leading the group’s Project Development, M&A, and PPA activities of Utility Scale Battery and Solar Projects.
Some duties will include:
•    Be the driving force behind Development and Permitting of a Multi-GW+ pipeline of Onshore Battery Storage System and Solar PV Projects.
•    Develop & execute 3 to 5 year strategy
•    Recruit, lead & manage team for future success
•    Manage/ Project Manage the cross-functional team (due diligence, finance, H&S, legal), plus external financial advisors
•    Lead & establish relationships with Municipalities, project developers & financial institutions across the region to obtain permits.
•    Solve problems and find inventive ways to ensure success of projects
•    Report results to the Global board
The Person:
The successful candidate will likely have:
•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Law
•    6+ years experience in Project Development, Permitting, of Utility Scale Solar and BESS Projects.
•    Proven abilities to develop and acquire a ready to build and operational asset pipeline in Germany
•    The ability to recruit, lead, and drive results from a high performing team
•    A strong ability to operate at all levels, right up to Board Level management
•    A strong network of Developers, EPCs, OEMs, and Financial Institutions
•    Be able to solve complex problems, Engage, Lead, motivate and inspire teams to success
•    Speak English, German
