The School and Role

An Alternative Provision school based in Christchurch are currently seeking a 1-1 Behaviour Support Assistant to start ain September 2024. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, ASD and challenging behaviour.  

The successful SEMH Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.

Requirements 

The desired Behaviour Support Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary and/secondary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH or challenging behaviour

- A passion for the progress of pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
