Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside a vibrant and inviting primary school in a residential area in Newport. They are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their nursery classroom.

They are looking for a general Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery class and provide a fun and passionate approach to learning. The successful candidate will become part of the team of staff who are dedicated to helping children develop academically, socially, and personally. 

The role

The successful candidate will begin working in as soon as possible working term-time 8:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday. They will work as a general Teaching Assistant assisting the classroom teacher with the class as a whole as well as taking small groups of children and leading activities set by the teacher. 

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the classroom teacher in preparing and teaching educational activities

• Work in small groups leading activities set by the teacher

• Get to know the pupils in the class and learn how to support them academically, socially, and personally 

• Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupils with the teacher 

• Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum

The successful candidate: 

• Will be caring, passionate, and hard-working

• Will have an understanding of how to support pupils

• Will have a good command of the English language 

• Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities discussed with the teacher

• Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Additional qualifications are also desirable but not essential
