Our Client is a £multimillion turnover manufacturer who provides tailored metalworking and cleaning, pre-treatment, and paint shop solutions with innovative chemical products and surface technologies, providing their customers with a complete surface technology package.  

Our client is looking for a new Managing Director to continue to grow the business after successful growth year on year for the past 5 years. 

Our Client operates globally with three successful business units; Paint Shop Materials, Surface Treatments and Metalworking and Cleaning, which enables the business to offer congruent technology through manufacturing processes closely linked to car manufacturers. The candidate will ideally be from within one of the business units which our Client operates.

Managing Director Responsibilities:
•    Full responsibility of the P&L reporting the financials, with a background in sales of high value leading edge technical products
•    Expected to lead from the front working in the market supporting the teams. 
•    Working on global and local strategic targets, with an experienced team backing them up.
•    Continue to ensure the financial security of the current business, as well as growing the business further into untapped business segments, being able to nurture a safe, ethical, and moral culture within the team. 
•    Working with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Managers in sharing UK market information and dynamics and identifying growth areas along with global strategies.

Managing Director Profile: 
•    The successful candidate will understand how to improve the financial standing of the business, inter alia, through margin increase, value selling, cost control and cashflow.
•    A manager of people is paramount with the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses within the team with continual development through training and coaching.
•    Have a proven background in Paint Shop Materials, Surface Treatments and Metalworking and Cleaning, or OEMs. 
•    Have an entrepreneurial mind set, having autonomy over the UK business. 
•    The candidate will be expected to spend time in the office, time in the field.
