An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Cheshire West Council within the Duty & Assessment team. This is a full time social worker position with a hourly rate of £40 (Going up to £41 after 12 weeks)

The childrens social worker will be required to assess risk and produce assessments of excellent quality. Working within the Duty and the Assessment team the role will entail the below:
* Having extensive knowledge of relevant legislations
* Liaising with other agencies
* Initial statements for court
* Providing children and family assessments
* Child protection meetings
* Section 47s
* Core assessments

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least two years post qualifying experience in statutory child care setting in order to support your ability for this role.
