About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Studies Teacher with a strong emphasis on Economics to join a reputable school in Congleton. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics to students at various levels.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development and progress of students.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies.
  • Support and motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering GCSE and A-Level Business Studies and Economics.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and examination boards.
