Our schools in Colchester are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team starting in September. As a Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will provide essential support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and delivering tailored support for students with SEMH needs.

- Work closely with teachers to monitor and assess student progress.

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, addressing their individual needs.

- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student development.

- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.

- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
