Business Development Executive – Aberdeen. £20.00 per hour dependent on experience, Part time – 15 hours. Benefits include a negotiated commission scheme, holidays and company pension contributions.

We are specifically looking for an individual who has established relationships within the energy sector—particularly in oil and gas and/or renewables—and has the capability to build additional relationships in these areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the globe through market research and networking
  • High level negotiation skills
  • Working with and speaking to decision makers and building a professional relationship
  • Working to and achieving sales targets/ KPIs
  • Polished written and telephone communication skills
  • Build a strong, high-quality pipeline to ensure you can hit your KPIs
  • Attending networking events, industry trade shows

Experience, skills, and knowledge required for the role.

  • 2-4 years previous sales experience (preferably with some in media/ subscriptions)
  • Knows how to pitch and close executive level decision makers.
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Linked In skills
  • A proven track record of success in a BDM role across a variety of different projects and industry sectors
  • The ability to research, learn and understand industry-specific issues and have a highly organised approach to lead generation
  • Fluency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and adaptability
  • Self-motivation and ambition to succeed
  • A growth mindset
