Our client who are a market leading Courier Service are currently seeking a European Transport Planner to join a small team in coordinating and optimising transport operations based in Cheadle, Stockport.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in European planning, Import and Export and Customs - good geographical knowledge of mainland Europe, strong organisational skills and be proficient in IT systems, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities: -
Plan and schedule transport routes efficiently, whilst managing the driver's hours - Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries - Monitor transport costs and maintain accurate records - Utilise Transport Management systems to track vehicles and shipments

Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and customers - Address any transport issues promptly to minimise disruptions - Manage customs requirements

Requirements: -
Proficiency in Excel and other IT systems

must be proficient in Import and Export procedures and have experience day to day in customs

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively - Experience in transport planning is a must - Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines - Leadership qualities to guide and support transport teams

Full-time, Permanent Pay: £30,000.00+ per year

Monday to Friday, Office based, On-site parking
