Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our market leading manufacturing client with their search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to work a 6-2/2-10 shift pattern(NO NIGHTS).

Overall Purpose:

• To contribute as part of the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth running of the site.
• To attend to any break downs and repair to the best of your ability.
• To carry out scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and maintain the building and services.
• To implement continuous improvements and Capital installations.

Key Duties:

• Promote excellent standards of Health and Safety, Housekeeping, Hygiene and Quality at all times.
• Attend and rectify any site breakdown in prompt manner.
• Assist in the production process start-up, one hour prior to the commencement of morning shift, on a rostered basis.
• To assist the Production Team in facilitating PMI/ TPM/ 5S/ Lean manufacturing and to promote standards including BRC, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
• Follow up and ensure completion of any task/defects are to a high standard.
• Identify and ordering of replacement parts for site production and ancillary equipment.
• Maintain, Agility log and complete all work activity reports, including defect sheet and process confirmation sheets accurately.
• Carry out and support the development of the planned maintenance system.
• Ensure sufficient and detailed handover processes take place between shifts.
• Undertake any project / installation work where required.
• Report any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.
• Undergo training as required by the needs of the business.
• Carry out any other reasonable request.
• Company workwear to be kept to a standard of cleanliness to meet the site hygiene standards.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:

• Experience of working in a maintenance position ideally in a FMCG environment.
• Time served apprenticeship with an BTEC Level 3 (ONC) minimum (or equivalent).
• Computer literate and comfortable with basic Microsoft office packages.
• Excellent communication skill and a team player.

The Package:

• £41,646 per annum.
• Double day shift role: 6AM-2PM & 2PM-10PM on rotation, NO NIGHTS! 6 hours OT every 4th Saturday.
• Overtime available paid at enhanced rate of pay.
