Purchasing Administrator

Due to growth, we are looking to recruit a permanent Purchasing Administrator to support the purchasing and planning teams. You will be supporting the business in providing the administration function, to ensure that orders are placed and expedited, in order to meet customer and project demands. If you have an administration background, along with some basic purchasing experience, this role would be a great fit.

As the Purchasing Administrator your duties will include:

  • Assisting the Purchasing Manager with general administration duties
  • Providing holiday cover for the Purchasing Managers basic duties
  • Chasing purchase orders and supporting the planning activities by ensuring materials are received on time and in-line with demand.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with queries
  • Liaise with the production personnel re completed jobs and create delivery notes.

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience working as an administrator (within a Purchasing team would be advantageous)
  • A keen eye for detail & accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel & Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience working within an engineering company would be beneficial

This is a permanent position which offers an excellent remuneration package including the following benefits:
